Casting for a Cure

Proceeds from the Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament benefit individuals living with ALS and their families. ALS is a progressive neuro-degenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS usually strikes people between the ages of 40 - 70, but it can strike anyone at any time. Although there is no cure or treatment yet, we are committed to helping these families in need.

A Quick Overview

This fundraising tournament takes place on Island Lake, Duluth, Minnesota. The tournament is Catch, Photo, Release format. Pre-registration is required.

This is a live, in-person tournament on Island Lake in Saint Louis County, approximately 20 minutes north of Duluth, MN. Anglers check-in at 5 pm on Friday, May 29th at the University of Minnesota Duluth's Ward Wells Field House. Anglers launch, on Island Lake Reservoir Saturday morning, in one of four flights, starting at 7:00 am. Anglers fish for walleye (6 maximum) and/or bass (5 maximum). Anglers may catch more than the maximum, as the FishDonkey application keeps track of the longest fish.
