Morgana's Fishing Tournament Fundraising Page 2020

Back for another year...
This year's fishing tournament is bittersweet for LeRoy and me in so many ways. We lost my dad, Gary Davis, to this awful disease that is ALS on October 18th. Last year when we were fishing and asking you to donate money we still had him alive with us. I would report back to him with each donation that we received, and he was so amazed that you all gave money and did so to honor his fight. Which he did... fight. But honestly there's only so much he could do when the disease took every shred of energy he had and rapidly deteriorated his muscles, control, and finally his lungs. He wasn't afraid to die. He was afraid of missing out on everything- traveling with his wife (they were still newlyweds for Pete's sake), my brothers and me, and his 6 grandchildren. He passed so peacefully. He said goodnight to each of us and we thought we'd be back the next day to hold his hand again, but he had his own plan. He's with us each day, I know it because I can feel him. This year we'll be fishing in his honor again, but with hope that a cure is not far away. With reassurance that this amazing team at the ALS Association of MN, ND and SD will continue on working to make the lives of their patients as comfortable as they can, even while faced with Covid-19. We'll fish our hearts out with the hope that this year, we'll catch at least one fish. LOL. We'll be fishing with an angel cheering us on.
Why We Need Your Help...
Your gift will help fund programs designed to help individuals living with ALS and their families. Your gift will also go towards research to find a cause and cure for ALS.
What Do You Do Next...
You can help simply by making a charitable contribution. It's as easy as a click of the mouse. Know that you are helping people with ALS live with as much dignity as possible. Know that you are making a difference in so many lives.
Company Match Opportunities...
Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they'll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Check to see if your employer will match your donation. We have links on our website that make this process very easy!
