The Black Woods Blizzard Tour is 3-day snowmobile ride and fundraiser. The Tour's motto is to 'Never Surrender.'  This ride to fight ALS helps people with ALS and their families through their journey with ALS.

The Black Woods Blizzard Tour starts with a reception at the Black Woods Grill and Bar in Proctor, MN on Wednesday evening, February 2, 2022. After a night's stay at the local AmericInn and Best Western, riders depart Thursday morning for Lake Vermilion where they enjoy dinner and accommodations at Fortune Bay Resort Casino. On Friday morning participants ride down the scenic North Shore to Two Harbors where Black Woods Grill & Bar hosts dinner. Riders spend the night and return to Proctor on Saturday, February 5. Buses transport riders for a welcome home Celebration Dinner hosted by Black Woods at Cirrus Aircraft.

Registration is required. Riders must be at least 21 years of age and willing to donate or fundraise. Money raised will help people living with ALS. Participants must raise, or donate, a minimum of $1,800. First year participants have a one-time incentive with a minimum of $1,500.

**All donations must be turned in to the Black Woods Blizzard Tour by February 2, 2022, to qualify for incentive prizes.

The ride is for experienced riders only (riding up to 150 miles each of the first two days and 80 miles the last day).  Speeds average 40 mph during the trip.

We have a welcome home Celebration Dinner on Saturday, February 5th at Greysolon Ballroom. With the current state of the COVID-19 virus, we will be limiting guests to our participants and full time volunteers only, plus one guest each. Unfortunately we are unable to open this event to the public. We will stream the program live using our Facebook Live in addition to a link provided by our audio-visual company. Watch for both links on our home page soon.

The ride begins with a gathering Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Black Woods Banquet Center, 195 Hwy 2, Proctor, MN 55810. Festivities conclude Saturday, February 5, 2022, after our Celebration Dinner.

Final plans are dependent on snowfall at the time of the event and any adjusted plans by the committee.
