Please help support people like my dad in my ride for ALS.
For me, a fundraiser has never hit so close to home as last summer, my dad was diagnosed with ALS. It is some of the most crushing news we've ever received as a family and one we continue to grapple with.
While the disease has started to affect him physically, he refuses to let it hinder his thirst for life. My dad has continued to work, travel and do all he can given his limitations. He's using this as an opportunity to make sure he does many of the things he's wanted to do in his life. Most recently, my three older brothers and I took a road trip with him to Arkansas, with it being the last state in the country on his list to visit. He is my hero and continues to inspire me with his courage, positive attitude, and classic Todd Walker humor throughout the last year.
When I heard about the Tomassoni Tour taking place right in my backyard on the Mesabi Trail, I knew I had to participate in it. I love biking the trail and this is the perfect opportunity for me to do my part to help raise funds for people like my dad and so many of those who need it.
With that said, I humbly ask you to please consider a gift in support of my ride. Any amount is greatly appreciated. All dollars stay local to the Midwest area and programs of Never Surrender Inc., who help fund platform trials for people with ALS, support through their durable medical equipment loan program, and so much more.
I truly appreciate your consideration in helping me reach my fundraising goal and supporting me as I ride for my dad and everyone else living with ALS.
