Please Support Me...
I'M BACK AND RIDING AGAIN! So many of you have been great supporters of my efforts to raise money in the fight against ALS. After a one year hiatus (well, I did raise money, I just couldn't ride) please join me again - just click on the DONATE NOW button. THANK YOU!
I just want to remind you that I will be riding 400 miles over 3 days during what is typically one of the coldest weeks of the year. It has been 20-25 degrees BELOW ZERO more often than not when we leave Tower, MN on Friday of the ride.... and we start by riding on a lake - BRRRR!
Why I Ride...
The ride might be chilly, but what warms my heart is the difference we make for those fighting this insidious disease. While the MN/ND/SD ALS Chapter isn't the largest, no other chapter provides more services. One of those many services that is so important is the Durable Medical Equipment Loan Pool - from simple items such as canes and walkers to patient lifts, power wheelchairs and hospital beds. When I began riding on the Blizzard Tour, there was often a waiting list for these items. Thanks to the funds we have provided - over 11 million dollars - the waiting list has been eliminated. All of these items, often not covered by insurance, are provided at no charge. This is just one example of the great work that your contribution makes possible.
The FIGHT FOR THE CURE also continues - here's hoping we see some breakthroughs in 2020!
