I am once again participating in the Black Woods Blizzard Tour, a 3-day snowmobile ride that raises funds for the fight against ALS. I began riding in this event ten years ago to support another rider who had a father pass away from ALS. 

Since then, however, this disease has struck close to home – twice. As many of you know, a coworker and friend of mine, Brian Warzecka, was diagnosed with ALS in 2015 and lost his battle in May of 2018. In addition, another friend, Mark Adelman, was also diagnosed with ALS a few years ago. We ride for Brian, Mark and the many others that are facing the challenges of this disease.

The Black Woods Blizzard Tour has supported ALS for 25 years with over $17 million raised since the event’s inception. In 2023, we raised $1.9 million during this event! These funds greatly benefit individuals and families facing the challenges of this disease, in addition to funding continued ALS research. I hope you will join me in making this another record-setting year.
