Hello everyone!

It is that time again when I reach out to everyone I can to raise funds for this most excellent event!!  The money we raise goes towards funding research right here in our own region.  This  means that for some people with ALS they would have access to medicine they may otherwise not be able to get.  Also, we provide equipment to a loaner pool that families can have access to in order to help those dealing with ALS stay in their homes. 

How did I get involved... 

No, I didn't have a family member with ALS nor did I even know anyone with the disease.  I love snowmobiling and I was told about this event where we can ride for a cause.  Ironically, I also helped open the first Black Woods restaurant back in the early 1990's in Two Harbors.  So, I signed up and was hooked!  Thru this event I got to know people battling ALS and see what it does to them and their families.  This has made me even more determined to do what I can to help by asking you all to donate what you can to help others.  This is not your typical fundraiser where your donation is spent on administration and red tape.  Well over 80% of what you donate goes directly to the cause thanks to our fantastic corporate sponsors (I encourage you to all look at the list on the website and support them as well).

So, thank you everyone that has supported my part in this fight and for those who are looking at being a first time donor, it is very much worth it!  Please donate what you can and lets work towards riding for fun and putting ALS behind us!
